When is the iPhone available, & how much does it cost?
Mark your calendars, the iPhone will be available June 29th, at 6:00 p.m. local time, meaning at 6:00 p.m. your local time. Stores on the East Coast will sell their iPhones a full three hours ahead of those on the West Coast.
What is the price of the iPhone? Retailers are saying that the iPhone will cost $500 for the 4 GB model and $600 for the 8GB model.
Stores carrying the iPhone (apparently only the Apple retail locations and AT&T Corporate stores… not Cingular or AT&T licensed dealers) are going to close at 4:30 p.m. local time and re-open for iPhone sales between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.
What will buyers receive with their coveted iphone? The iPhone includes photo, ipod, email, text, web browsing and Visual Voicemail functions. (Read more about the iPhone.)
The iPhone requires a two-year contract for service.
A snap-shot of cool iphone specs include:
Thickness: 11.6 mm
Screen size: 3.5″

Talk time: 8 hours
